Keurig Green Mountain is getting new leadership after a major multi-billion-dollar acquisition led by JAB Holding. Keurig will now be part of the same group as Peet’s Coffee & Tea, Stumptown Coffee Roasters, and Caribou Coffee, all owned by JAB. JAB is paying $92 per share for Keurig, which is a huge 78% higher than Keurig’s closing price the previous Friday. While JAB isn’t a household name, it is one of the biggest players in the global coffee industry. Besides coffee brands, JAB also owns luxury footwear brand Jimmy Choo and perfume maker Coty.
